What is your favorite book?

As I know that I won't be allowed to do much after my surgery, I was thinking of compiling a list of "must reads." I figure, I can sit out on the patio, enjoy the warming spring weather, and read a few good books. I was going to ask my friends on FB, and probably still will, but thought starting a thread here on my new favorite website, might help some of my sisters! So....

What is your favorite book of all time? A "must read?" Could be anything... contemporary or classic, etc, etc. Any and all responses are welcome! Thanks!

Re: What is your favorite book?

I am a huge historical romance fan. I plan to upload to my Sony eReader the whole Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn. Another favorite is Eloisa James.

Give me a genre and I'll tell you the best of that type to look at.
If you like Chic Lit, Gemma Halliday's High Heels series is the best.

Re: What is your favorite book?

You should pick up "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon, she is my all time favorite author. This is a series so if you like it you will have plenty to keep you busy. Her books are quite long and well worth the time. Also, a friend of my recommended "South of Broad" by Pat Conroy. I haven't read it yet but it is in my book basket next to my bed. Enjoy your journey and best of luck to you.

Re: What is your favorite book?

Janet Evanovich - Stephanie Plum series. Also Joanne Fluke murder mystery series - both should not be missed. I am rereading the Dianna Gabaldon series while I'm off and will finish with the new one!
