10 weeks post op new pain

I am 10 weeks post-op and yesterday the swelly belly, with heaviness and pain came back. Does anyone know if this is from doing too much or just a normal part of recovery? I have been feeling wonderful since week 6, then all of a sudden t his happened. I have been doing normal activities and didn't do anything out of the ordinary that I can recall. Any ideas? Thanks!

It could be from doing too much or just a normal part of recovery. It can take up to a year to fully recover from a hysterectomy and that can mean some ups and downs. I remember doing great and then feeling little twinges here and there. Take care of yourself and listen to your body. If you're ever in doubt, please give your doctor a call. I hope you feel better soon!

You are still healing at 10 weeks....but like Crossfire says....you can always call the doctor. That is what they are there for.

Re: 10 weeks post op new pain

My aches, twinges, and tugs returned when I went back to work at 7 1/2 weeks. I've also been trying to increase what I'm doing around the house so I'm feeling that in my belly too. I'm pretty discouraged about it. Seems like by 10 weeks we should be feeling pretty perky, but I know I'm not. Still have the swelly belly too. I guess we just need to be patient. Take care.
