Good Afternoon Sisters Well chemo six is a done deed. Feeling a bit under
the weather, and most likely I'll laze around all weekend. But all in all the
treatment was much easier than I anticipated. Not that I am not pleased to
be hopefully done!!! My CA125 remains at 9!! Which pleases me!! Here is
my followup plan. A week from Monday I have an appt with my gyn-
oncology surgeon. Just for a check up. She will be my gyn now forever and
I just adore her. I was a little disappointed when I realized she would not
be my medical oncologist. But by now I like that doc as well, and his
speciality is ovca. In four weeks I get another CAT scan, as well as another
CA125. If these look good I then go to the three month checks. At any
rate I plan to hang around this Hyster Sister site for a long time to come.
I can never adequately thank you all for such kind loving support.

Karen, so glad this looks like it may be the last treatment!!!!
And your CA125 remaining at 9!!! Wooohoo.... Gotta love that.

I think its great that they are doing another CT scan. They didn't offer me another at the end of my treatment. I think that would be very reassuring to have done.

Isn't it great when you really like your doctors. I just think the world of everyone who was involved in my care from the beginning as well. It sure helps when we like them!

Hey, you better stay around here......we wouldn't let ya go anyway.
Once a hystersister, always a hystersister!!
Your experience, support for all of us, and continuous upbeat attitude throughout everything you have been through will be so valuable to share with the ladies who come here in the future, and as unfortunate as that is, there is no doubt in my mind there will be others to come, who will be going through what we all have been through dealing with all the types of gyn cancers.
Sending good thoughts and prayers for your checkup!!

Feel better soon! Get lots of rest, and pamper the !!
Love and Hugs,
xoxo

I'm so very happy for you! I bet you sure are glad to get this over with, I'll be crossing my fingers that this WAS your last treatment. With results like the lil ole "9" sounds pretty darn good!

I hope you're resting well and any side effects you're having are gone quickly!

I'm so glad you found Dr's you're comfortable with and have confidence in, that's so wonderful!

Please keep us posted on how you're doing. Sending you many good thoughts and prayers.

Drs. in New Jersey??

Hello there, Karen!! So happy for you on your last chemo treatment. Been there, now how good it feels.

My gyn/oncol surgeon is also in New Jersey, she is the Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and her name is Dr. Lorna Rodriguez. I absolutely adore her too, as does my sister who is also battling ov ca.

It was a long trip for me, as I live in Arkansas, but I fell so confident I was in good hands.

Right now I am back to monthly CA125 monitoring after a 1 year remission because recently my readings started to go up. But hey, I beat it the firt time, and if it dares return, I WILL BEAT IT AGAIN.

I am happy for you, sister, God bless you. Ana Maria.
