Re: Wow Ladies this place is depressing!

OMG I forgot that I had The Golden Girls. Guess that is next along with Deadliest Catch. Netflix has become my BFF.

I am so jealousy of everyone who can drive. My dh put my truck in the shop and told them to take their time so that I would not cheat and drive more then I am allowed esp since we live on a really bad dirt road. I MISSSSSSS my truck!!!

Re: Wow Ladies this place is depressing!

Despite all of my (I think) irrational but real depression/anxiety/tears, I love this thread & did find the link to the "You Know You've Had a Hysterectomy When..." thread.

https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...d.php?t=388917

Also, another fun game my DH taught me that he plays at work when he's bored....he calls it the Wikipedia game:

You start by searching something/someone, click on a link within the article, and so on, & see how far/deep you can go into Wikipedia, what you find, & the ultimate win is if you can get back to your ORIGINAL search topic.

Its pretty fun, & you learn a lot of useless knowledge along the way!

Re: Wow Ladies this place is depressing!

OK, I'm now guilty of a "double post", I just posted this on the "biggest surprises" thread (surprised I am even less patient than I thought I would be at this stage......)

This morning I asked my DH to carry the vaccuum up to the bedroom for me so I could carefully vaccuum, in little bits at a time, starting with the highest level and working down as far as I felt safe. He said no. I gave him a "look" and said then I guess I would be hurting myself when I tried to carry it myself. So he carried it up for me. Who have I become???? Why am obsessing about vaccuumming??? I felt really threatening too...like "carry the vaccuum or you shall suffer in ways you can't imagine". No worries, I will practice the art of very slow and careful vaccuuming....of course the task is spread out between naps and Criminal Minds episodes (my latest fave) and who knows maybe it won't even happen. But it was sure important this morning!

I am actually starting to believe that I am now qualified to solve any crime, perform any surgery procedure out there (hmm, except a hysterectomy, no thanks), find the perfect wedding dress for the pickest *****iest bride, renovate an entire house myself, including the landscaping of course, and "rehabilitate" the biggest bad*** dog out there.

smendes, awesome Wiki game suggestion! Just in the nick of time, too!

Your last comment made me giggle ESPECIALLY when I saw you were from Tallahassee lol!! Girls and their trucks lol! I wish my dh would leave me the Mazda when I have to drive, like today I had to go to Publix to pay my car payment and getting in and out of the Dodge Caravan was NO FUN! ~Oh and Betty White on SNL was AWESOME, I loved the CSI Sarasota, my dh is a Respiratory Therapist for a homecare company in Sarasota so I think we found it 10x more amusing than most!

Daisy~ I can't tell you how HAPPY I am to see you in good spirits!!! Yay!!! I'm about 2 inches from sneaking a bath myself, I may do that instead of a law chair in the shower to shave my legs, A bath sounds sooooo gooood right now!

I got the Blockbuster by mail service a week before my surgery, its been handy, except when dh forgets to put the movies in the mailbox and I don't have any new ones for a few days. Thats how I'm getting my Six Feet Under.

Here's what I did for FUN today
First I must disclaim this is NOT to offend anyone, I live in Florida so our 2nd laungage is espanola anyway,
I called to deal with one of dh's bills and couldnt get past the stupid automated system, I have a pretty bad southern accent~ I grew up in WV, lived in NC for awhile and now I live in Florida... I talk reaaall sloooow and say words like ya'll and taters (duh lol) so I hit cinco for espanol.... I DO speak some spanish , however I dont speak it up par per the latina's sooooo I used my best epsanola and started chatting with teh CSR.. yeah she kept trying to ask me questions in english and I'd say no habla and she put me on hold and got a supervisor who was speaking soooo fast in spanish lol, I went back to english mode and said ok ya'll aint no fun~ transfer me to someone who speaks my laungage... I know I know, it was wrong but I HAD to!!
I didn't get anything resolved with the bill though

YAY daisyforest, good for you! I wondered if you could resist Crys's great thread....you were the one who had me laughing so hard in the pre-op forum regarding Aunt Flo.....so I hope your humour can help you get through post op the way it did with pre-op.

Oh I forgot to add in my last post that I'm now also a top notch marriage/family councellor! Likely better than Dr. Phil, but sadly the world will never really know. I have too many other career opportunities now, with all this newfound wisdom!

Crys, I tried to find Jerseylicious but it doesn't seem to be on any of my channels (or I just haven't found it yet, buried in all the useless channels somewhere)....what channel do you watch it on?

Re: Wow Ladies this place is depressing!

Laughing very hard. I think we need to rename this so people realize how funny this is.
I am back to work full time but can tell you that during my recovery from surgery and from two hospitalizations that I really got attached to Bridezillas, What Not to Wear, and Platinum Weddings. Never watched before but love now. Also watched Property Ladder a lot, watched a lot of Dog Whisperer which I was already addicted to.,
Apparently my dog decided I was watching too much tv on my days off because three nights ago the remote fell on floor. He didn't chew it, he just managed to hit the button on it to make my TV picture turn to snow. Today finally electronic guy called me back and got TV back. He told me to ask the dog what button he pushed. After the tv came back and I was off phone, I asked my dog why he did it and what number did he push? After all, I have been watching Dog Whisperer and am now an expert on my dog. He still hasn't told me.
I also think that if my current job doesn't work out I could definitely be a judge on TV show, help solve crimes without a problem, solve most mysteries, give really good advice to everyone and possibly flip a house(not sure about that-but could definitely avoid the stupid things they sometimes do). It is amazing how much I have learned through having to take it easy.
These are just so funny and really help me laugh. Thanks everyone.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt! Now granted, you've set the bar a little low for yourself there Crys! How about challenging Christina to open heart surgery, with a bullet lodged in the aorta and a gun to your head, per last night??

Re: Wow Ladies this place is depressing!

Crys,
I know, I was so looking forward to when my dh went back to work so that I could be snicky but he knew what I was going to do so he beat me at my own game this time. LOL

We have wood floors and tile so no vacuuming for me. I did have a friend who said that after her surgery she thought that she could vaccum but she ended up feeling a pop and turned out to be a stitch. So be really careful when you do it.
