Bring on the night sweats--I ordered my chillow last night!

Hey ladies,

Not sure if I'm going to need that chillow, but at least I'll be prepared in case. I think I've been in perimenopause for sometime now and I recall a couple of years ago that I went through a couple of months when I did have some night sweats. So, anywho if I don't need that chillow I can donate it to a sister who might I do have one question for you post op sisters--how long after LAVH will I be able to sleep on my tummy???? I'm a total tummy sleeper and I'm worried about my quality of sleep. I don't want this princess to be grumpy for lack of a good nights rest during recovery and I'm sure DH doesn't want to deal with that either--ha, ha!

Good luck to all my sisters having surgery in the next few days. My thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery

I have my chillow ready too just in case. Are you bringing it to the hospital?

I can't answer the question about sleeping on the tummy because I didn't have a LAVH procedure.

However, I don't think you'll regret your Chillow purchase, even if you don't experience night sweats. It feels WONDERFUL! And it's gentle cooling action is great for an aching back or neck anytime, cooling you without ever freezing your skin.

Re: Bring on the night sweats--I ordered my chillow last night!

Hi,
I am a total tummy person as well. Yesterday marked my 4th week out and just started to sleep on mine ( well, half side half tummy with one leg up on a pillow) and cradleing my pillow, only to find myself wakeing up flat on my back ..LOL. I did have the TAH/BSO but we are all different so I hope it goes easy for you as well. Listen to your own body and if it hurts dont do it.

Hey Lou 914,
No I don't think I'll bother bringing the chillow to the hospital for just one night--besides with all the pain meds that will be circulating in my system I don't think I will notice night sweats or much else going on around me! LOL

need2learn--I will take your advice and if it hurts I most certainly won't do it!

Thanks everyone for all of your support. I just luv all my sistas
