Help Trish & others ... Nausea/pain with new multivitamin - ideas?
Hi ladies, after researching here & hormone jungle, I decided to switch to a post-menopausal supplement (which I purchased) and calcium citrate (which I'm still looking for but that's another story).
Well almost 2 weeks into taking the supplement I am still having problems finding a time/way to take it that doesn't cause stomach pains & nausea for 10-15 minutes. I've taken it with and without food, morning and evening, and still have the same problem. Sometimes it's so bad I think I'm gonna throw up and I'm holding my tummy! I have acid reflux and taking this pill does the same thing as drinking orange juice only without the heartburn.
Is this normal? Any ideas? I don't know if my body is trying to tell me something or if this is just a yucky side effect.
Thanks,
Rosa

Help Trish & others ... Nausea/pain with new multivitamin - ideas?
Hi Rosa,
I have always had trouble taking supplements. They make me nauseous. Last month I ordered "Nutri-Woman" capsules. Forget that idea. It screwed up my stomach for 2 days. I also have a problem with acid reflux. Right now I've given up on supplements. I also need advice. I also had the same problem with the pain meds after surgery. I was almost as miserable on them than the pain it's self.

Rosa,
What's in this supplement that wasn't in your other supplement? Can you switch back to your old multivitamin and take what's missing separately? Maybe it won't bother you then. Your stomach is certainly trying to tell you something. There's gotta be a way to get the nutrients you need without making yourself sick!

gave up on this one
Hi ladies, just wanted to give you an update. After almost 3 weeks of trying the new multivitamin at different times of day & with or without food, and suffering daily, I finally decided to listen to my body and quit taking it. My pharmacist has suggested trying different brands so I guess I'll do that next. Wish they came in sample sizes!
Thanks for the help though.
Rosa
