Feeling Good About Feeling Bad
7 days and counting until my TAH/BSO on 10/23.
Yesterday I had a pretty good day - in fact almost pain free! And I was seriously questioning my decision to go ahead.
Then today my pain is back in a moderate state and I am actually happy about it! It just reconfirms why I am doing this.
I have been charting my pain for the past 133 days. Yes! I keep a chart on excel with the date & cycle day. I then put in notes as to the degree of pain and any other facts that I feel are relevant - pain meds, blood flow, etc.
I looked at my chart today and discovered that of the 133 days I have been doing this, there has only been 29 days of "mild pain". I described mild as only being slightly aware of my lower right quadrant area. The rest of the days vary from moderate to intense.
So, as I said, I am actually happy that my gut instinct to have this surgery is confirmed here on the last countdown!!!
Oh! And thanks to all of my "sisters" for this site!!!!

know what you mean.........
I really do! I have been thru the same thing since I got my date last week for my TAH/BSO the 15th of Nov. The pain has come and gone, instead of being there ALL the time..... and then Aunt Flo came to visit..FOR THE LAST TIME!!! and I was reminded rather rudely by her why I am 100% glad that I am only a month from becoming a . The pain and flow this time was awful. My periods usually last about 12 days..and this has been a real 'winner'. NOT.
Trust your gut--you know what is best for you and for your life. I can't wait to get my life back. Pain free. I can't even imagine sex without pain. don't care if I have my cervix or not...just to not tense up at the thought of sex is going to be wonderful!
I will be praying for an easy recovery for you.... see you on the other side.
IN HIM,
Dawn <><
