Try a Natural Progesterone cream for the first time.

Ive weathered Surgical Menopause for nearly 2 years now with no help from HRT. I recently purchased Emerita Pro-Gest cream to try and relieve some of the symptoms. It has the best reviews of everything I had stumbled upon and was recommended to me by my sister.

Has anyone else ever tried it? Or other similar creams? Success ? Failure ?

I'm targeting these symptoms.
Insomnia
Night sweats
Hot flashes
Severe unexplained weight gain.
Migraines
Mood Swings
Loss of Energy

I'm only 28 and the Menopause started right before my first surgery. My doctor contributed it to Ovary shock from Endometriosis and PCOS.

I would be great full for any information my Hyster Sisters can share. Thanks
Kym-Berly

Re: Try a Natural Progesterone cream for the first time.

Hi Kym-Berly I'm a little confused... I'm trying to piece together your history from your old posts and your survey answers, and I can't tell for sure whether or not you still have one ovary?

If both ovaries have been removed, it is very unlikely that using progesterone alone is going to help any of your symptoms. In fact, if you have a history of PCOS, it may make the PCOS worse in that it gives your body a way to make more testosterone (women with PCOS already make too much).

Are you seeing an endocrinologist? With your complicated history, I would suggest doing that rather than trying to self-diagnose and treat.
