Pelvic pain and pressure 6 weeks out

Hello everyone. Had LSH 4/29/10 ,used vicodin post op and experienced minimum pain. Started weaning down the amount used from 2 every 4 hours to 2 every eight hours to 1 every 4 hour to 1 every eight hours, then finally one every 12 hours. I have stopped using the vicodin completely. My concern is I don't get relief from the pelvic pain and pressure that feels like really bad menstral cramps when I use motrin or tynenol. The pain feels like it did 3 weeks after my surgery. I'm going to the doctor this afternoon. My question is has anyone else experienced this? Please share your experiences with me so I won't continue to trip.
Thanks

Re: Pelvic pain and pressure 6 weeks out

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble still. It is good you are seeing your DR though. I know everyone is different in their heeling but I don't think you should have that type of pain this far post op. Really push the Dr to give you an answer or figure it out.
Also, is it possible you are doing too much?? I am 5 wks post op from my LSH and started feeling much better a week ago and started to drive. After that it was almost like I went back to normal life (without the lifting) and the last few days I feel like it is catching up with me.
Good Luck and feel better.

Thanks for the reply. I think in alot ways I've probably been doing a little too much. You know like putting on a swimming suit at the first signt of sun and going out, never mind it's February in Chicago. Just because it's warm doesn't mean it summer. Thanks again
