Supplements-new to this-total hysterectomy

So what supplements should one be taking after having a hysterectomy? I had a total hysterectomy and they took everything. On HRT but my doctor didnt say to take any supplements for anything like bone health etc? Any ideas on what to take and how much should I be taking?

I'm 5 days post op and my doctor started me on vitamin D and calcium as well as all natural supplements to fight menopause symptoms (not having any yet...hoping to keep it that way).

I am not on HRT and would prefer not to have to go that route.

I don't take any supplements and never have. I wasn't advised to do so by any of my medical providers. However, I suppose it's relevant in my particular case that I don't smoke, I maintain a healthy weight, I eat and drink (mostly) healthy foods and I take HRT to replace the hormones that my ovaries used to make.

I think your question would be a good one to pose to your physician at your next appointment. If you are like me, it may be unneccessary for you to bother taking anything at all.
