That may or may not happen. Takes a while to use up your stores but some ladies just have an easier time of it. You could be lucky but time will tell. Hope you're one of the lucky ones.

I didn't have symptoms until 3 weeks after my surgery. Why not call your Dr. and see if he has any samples so your not left without, just in case. Feel Better..

Re: just had surgery everything including ovaries...OUT
I'm 5 days post-op and haven't felt anything either. I was on Lupron for 5 months and was hot all the time. It did take about 2 months (2 injections for symptoms to start). I am waiting with you!! Maybe we'll be lucky

I'm with you. Surgery was monday 6/21. Lsh, bso, bladder repair. No symptoms yet. I can't do hrt because I had breast cancer 2 years ago. So I'm anxious to see what happens. Good luck everyone!

Re: just had surgery everything including ovaries...OUT
Me too. I'm on day 3 and can't do hrt because of endometrial cancer. So far, no issues with hot flashes etc. It's early days though. I'm hoping it won't be too awful for any of us.

Re: just had surgery everything including ovaries...OUT
I am one week post op and haven't had any symptoms. I am overweight so I know there's still plenty of hormones in the fat. I have the prescription for the patch right beside me and I stare at it everyday trying to figure out should I or shouldn't I?????? I don't want the revolt that jam refers to. Am I crazy to wait? Should I go ahead and prevent the revolt? Wah!!! I'm so confused!

 Hi,
At 34 years old, the chances that you will need Estrogen replacement are pretty high. The patch is not the only option. There are some others that you may want to consider. Here is a link to Hormone Quick Reference Guide which lists available options.
You can always switch to the patch when it becomes available. You may want to talk to your Dr about these other options.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I'll be without ovaries soon, and I need to start checking out my options. Gosh, this site is wonderful (just like the members).
