post menopause---will ovary removal cause more menopausal symptoms?

I am having surgery July 12 hysterectomy with ovaries out. I'm
post menopausal (15 years ago). Will this cause another menopause ? muscle pain, hot flashes, etc?

It's possible that you will experience menopause again. Even after menopause, the ovaries produce beneficial hormones. With those hormones gone, you may find that you experience typical menopause symptoms like hot flashes.

If you're a good candidate to keep your ovaries, discuss that option with your doctor.

In my case I have more symptoms than I had with natural menopause and I'm not enjoying the experience. I never was on HRT and told I couldn't take it, But this GYN thinks its OK so I'm taking it for now. I didn't feel it was an option to keep them and hoped I wouldn't notice their absence, but I definitely do.
