Doc told me my CAT scan was normal but hinted it was weird too until they realized I had had a hyst. That made me curious so I asked for results to be sent to me. Scan is full of notations about cysts, nodules, lymph nodes and mentions a grade 1 rectocele which no one thought to tell me about! GEEZ. More good news. It also mentions soft tissue aroudn right ovary which sounds to me like adhesions. No one mentioned that either, including my gyn/surgeon who I sent results to!

Anyway, just curious about whether having a hyst. encourages growth of all these cysts and nodules, etc. which are apparently benign. Some notations say they are too small to be characterized any further. That makes me worry that some day they will grow and cause problems. But I guess I have enough problems at present figuring out cause of urinary pain without thinking of future. Go to see Urethra Man in a week. Hope he has some good answers or at least can give me meds for bad days.

I can't answer your question regarding whether or not a hysterectomy encourages the growth of cysts and nodules, but would certainly be curious as to the answer to that.

But wanted to wish you the best of luck with your appt with the "Urethra Man" I certainly hope that you can find the answers to all your urinary pain. Keep us posted on what you find out.

MRI update - everything normal. They liked the way my bladder looked! Saw another (!) cyst on Bartolin gland? I think.

meanwhile CAT scan showed grade 1 retrocele which no one has addressed with me yet. Been having episodes of mild diarrhea last 2 weeks - wonder if related.

well urethra man is Monday - hope he has all the answers. Meanwhile, this past week major symptoms, pain etc. has gone on holiday ( ). I know it'll come back but it's swell to get a break now and then. Wishing the same for everybody on this list...
