I just wondered and wanted to ask everyone, what were your symptoms that motivated you to seek treatment?

Yeah, I am going, but there is a lot of waiting involved.

I am waiting for my new health insurance to start. I am waiting to see the doctor my doctor recommended. Once you go you get biopsies taken, and then you ... wait some more!

I understand you can have this stuff for quite a while before it spreads anywhere, so I can deal, but wondering while you are waiting is no fun.

Thanks for the support.

Symptoms prompting treatment

NONE!

Actually I had been without a period for 1 1/1-2 years, kept checking with my GYN who tried to jumpstart things with provera and premarin: didn't work. My FSH tests repeatedly showed I was NOT menopausal!!

No pain, no periods.....I could live with that.

Since I am fat and she could not palpitate my ovaries well, she sent me for a transvaginal ultrasound May 2001 which showed perfectly fine ovaries but a uterine lining of 28 mm. (Anything over 5 mm is abnormal).

Moved on to D & C attempt 6/1/01 which ended up being just an endometrial biopsy which showed complex hyperplasia with atypia.

TAH-BSO 9/12/01 showed Stage 1A endometrial cancer.

That's my story in a nutshell.

Hey, thanks very much to the people who replied.

I find I am having spotting longer this month than I usually have it. Not good. Can't call the Dr. until tomorrow.

Anybody else?
