Re: almost 7 mths post op

I've moved your post from Beyond the Land of Hyster over here to the Post Op forum hoping someone can come by and offer their experience.

I hope you feel better soon.

Re: almost 7 mths post op

don't know.. I am so numb that I can't feel my cell phone vibrate in my pocket. had 2 previous abdominal surgeries.. no numbness.. this time my right side is numb.. when my phone goes off.. I sometimes feel the vibration on the left side.. but not the right.

sex is the pits... not at all what it was before.. I love my husband.. and I want to enjoy what we had before. would love to hear it comes back.. some time... I just want to feel the big "O" again.. not just an almost got it.. of course that is better than nothing at all.. and I was there for many months....

Re: almost 7 mths post op

I can't say that I've felt a burning sensation, but I do still occasionally feel "something" in my lower pelvis when I've really exerted myself. It's generally on the side (in the same spot actually, lower left abdomen) where I had a hematoma at my incision site. I had a TAH on 11/9/09. But, it's minor, and I've only felt it a few times. I just figure maybe it's a little scar tissue or something. I would check with your doctor if the pain you describe happens consistently every time you exercise. I feel great overall.. I think back sometimes to this time last year, when I was DREADING the prospect of surgery! Can't believe it's all over with and I am SO GLAD that I did it. Hope this problem clears up for you!
