Vivelle-dot and Amberen together, anyone?
Has anyone tried a low dose Vivelle Dot (0.025) and Amberen together? Is this a case where you have to use one or the other? Why not both?

Re: Vivelle-dot and Amberen together, anyone?
Hello! to HysterSisters!
Are you having symptoms of low estrogen using th 0.025 dose of Vivelle Dot? If so, consider asking your doctor to bump up the dose. Or, if you're wearing the Dot on your abdomen, you can try placing it on your rear instead as absorption is about 20% better back there. Then just change if from one side of your rear to the other every 3 1/2 days. (Changing from back to front can cause fluctuations in hormone levels which, of course, we're trying to avoid.)
If you're on the right dose of hormone therapy, you shouldn't need to use another product such as Amberen. If you prefer to not use hormone therapy, you could try the Amberen alone to see if you get symptom relief.
I hope this helps!

Re: Vivelle-dot and Amberen together, anyone?
Thank you so much for the reply! I will try wearing it on my rear. If that doesn't work, I'll ask my doc to up the dose. I just thought perhaps the Amberen would be a good supplement. I don't think it would work alone since I have no ovaries, although I've heard that it works with the adrenal gland which also produces hormones. It's a jungle out there, or should I say in here! LOL! Thanks again!
