Hot flashes
Is anyone else dealing with removal of ovaries without HRT? I can't take hormones for at least three months because of active endometriosis and the hot flashes are making sleep close to impossible. I was thinking about ordering one of the cooling pillows or the Chillow on this website. Has anyone tried either item?

Re: Hot flashes
I've used something similar to a chillow and it helped. Also a remote control fan aimed on the bed. And if night sweats are really bad---make up the bed, put a soft type waterproof mattress pad on, then another sheet over. If you get soaking sweaty you can peel off the top layer that way. Good luck. Also--avoid caffeine, alcohol, and spicy food to see if that helps, sometimes it makes a difference and its worth a trial.

Re: Hot flashes
I'm on 25 mg of zoloft and it seems to have help minimize my hot flashes and they are tolerable now...I also have endometriosis and I can't use any form of estrogen but I am using compounded progesterone cream and it helps stabilize my mood. I use Magnesium Glycinate to help me sleep and it works well. I am fortunate not to be having any night sweats at all. Hope this helps
