HEADACES..low tolerence...and taking estradiol
I am so confused...I am taking ambien 10mg , estradiol- 1 mg, and Savella (fibromyalgia). Now I can't sleep.....depressed...very low on tolerence with DH,DS, and DD's.
The headaches are getting worse, energy is nil, and I don't know what to do. Gyn says I have to take HRT, but general Dr. does not want me on it....I dont understand....Please give me your opinions....
Thanks princesses!!

Re: HEADACES..low tolerence...and taking estradiol
Hi
It is difficult for a patient when two doctors have conflicting ideas of what is best for her.
I'm wondering, you are still very new post op. The initial recovery period is typically 6 weeks. Could you be overdoing the activity and responsibilities?
Insomnia is a very common complaint this early post op. I found that tylenol or motrin pm helped me, along with a little warm herbal tea in the evenings. Lack of sleep can wreak havok on my tolerence level with ANYONE. Although, there were still plenty of nights when I was awake more than asleep.
Concerning the headaches, have you spoken with your about these?
Does your general Dr understand the need for estrogen for a woman in surgical menopause? Do you have a health history of estrogen fed cancer or blood clots that would cause him to be concerned? Not all Dr's are up to date concerning the needs and HRTs available, not to mention the latest in research concerning the safety of bio-identical estrogens that are available today. There has been much research to show that estrogen actually has a protective value to it concerning heart and bone health.
I love my who has helped me and my family through many a crisis over the years. However, I had to find a different Dr to help me with my surgical menopause. He just didn't have the knowledge or interest in what is available, or what the most recent studies have/are revealing.
