DURAGESIC Patch (Fentanyl) withdrawals ???

I know some of you have been to pain clinics and have used the Duragesic (Fentanyl) patches. Currently, i am on one 25 patch every 3 days. Next Thursday will be the last patch i put on, so basically it will "run out" on Sunday.

Can anyone tell me what to expect in the way of (if there even are any) physical withdrawal symptoms from being on Duragesic.

i was on 2 patches (for 3 days) for 9 days, then went down to 1 patch and that was for about 2 weeks. I have 1 on now and will change it Monday, then I will change that 1 on Thursday and then that is it.

My dr. said he'll give me .50 Ativan to help with the "anxiety" that will come from withdrawing but I am wondering what to expect physically???

I did have some symptoms when I went from the 2 down to the 1 and they were: diarrea, nervous/anxiety and very achy all over in joints and my bones. that lasted about 3 days.

Thank you, please email me or post reply. Thanks!

From what I understand...there's withdrawal and then there's...

Fentylyn withdrawal...it has it's own special brand, and pretty much NO drug will help alleviate the symptoms. Diarrhea, vomiting, flu like joint pain, hot flashes, cold spells, headache, dry mouth, irritability, inability to sleep, are but a few of the symptoms.Good luck...
