LSH: Getting Nervous! Surgery in 1 week!!

Hi all fellow sisters!
So my surgery is next Friday the 24th, and I'm kinda getting nervous! thinking I don't have everything done or I haven't gotten everything I need. I'm trying to make out a list for my husband of what times to pick up our kids from school (1 is VPK, 1 is 1st grade and the other stays home) Lunches, dinner, what time Scouts are and what days. Ugg.. I'm just stressing, this is everything that I handle along with everything else in the house! DH is taking 2 weeks leave and I hope that the Shop doesn't call him in (He is Air force).
I think that is what is stressing me out the most. He is the only one in his position that knows what to do with and about his job. SO I'm afraid they will be calling him in all the time to get some work done or something. ugg...
sorry I am rambling, it's just getting so close and I want this to be easy on my husband and kids, and don't want to interrupt their schedule as much as possible, since they are still little.

I think it is normal to start "nesting" prior to surgery. Just remember that you will be able to tell your husband schedules etc., after surgery too! Don't feel like you have to have everything written down because you will be able to direct traffic- even if it is from your bed! P.S. The waiting IS the worst part, then in an hour it is all over and you are on your way to recovering! Best wishes to you!

The waiting is really hard. Kids are resilient so I am sure they will be fine. It sounds like you will have everything organized. I hope your hubby will be able to stay with you & help you too. Best wishes to you.

If possible, have a friend or neighbor on standby, in case DH has to go in, & you need someone to pick up kids from somewhere. Just knowing you have back-up can be very reassuring.
