complex hyperplasia with atypia

I've been diagnosed with complex hyperplasia with atypia and my doctor recommends removal of the uterus via robots if possible. I'm 52 with fibroids but defintitely want to keep my ovaries. Anyone else been diagnosed with this?

Liddie,
I just had my hysterectomy for that and am your age. Kept my ovaries. My final path was clear and there was no residual hyperplasia so the d and c must have gotten it but there is no way to know.

Re: complex hyperplasia with atypia

I had my surgery 10 days ago and feel great. I had single port laporoscopic surgery. My doc also does robotic but feels it takes much longer and is used more on heavy set women where hand holding the operative trocars (vs the robot) is tiring. I have one incision in my belly button that is all.
