Lump in breast - related?

I'm not sure if this could possibly be related to my surgery, but last night I found a lump in my breast. I haven't read about anyone experience this on the forum, and I still have my ovaries, so it can't be hormonal.

I went straight to my doctor today and he has scheduled a mamogram and ultrasound for tomorrow.

I am telling myself it is probably nothing sinister, but I just feel... what next? Give me a break!

Re: Lump in breast - related?

I am not sure if it would be related but PLEASE let us know the results of your tests! I will say a prayer for you that it is nothing..I had LOTS of lumps in both of my breasts , i ended up with a breast reduction ( they were ginormous ) and it turned out they were just fibroid cysts..Nothing to worry about at all..HUGS and prayers to you!!! Keep us posted!

Re: Lump in breast - related?

I honestly don't know if it is related either, but am glad you are getting it looked at so soon. My Dr did tell me that when you keep your ovaries, your hormones go crazy for awhile following the surgery. Maybe it is something to do with that, kind of like how before my peroid I would get tender breasts and sore lumps in my armpits.
Keep thinking positive!!!! Let us know what happens!!!
