Question - Totally New to Me Totally New to Me

I guess this is the right place to talk about this....

I was having hot flashes before my TAH/BSO but oddly, they seemed to occur from the neck up only...I would sometimes feel warm during the day when others were not...but those were not like power surges.

Since my surgery the hot flashes are more all over...not so intensely located in my head and face.... and more frequent...but also mostly in the evening.

I just assumed I would NOT do HRT because there is a history of breast cancer in my family and I really believe my mom's breast cancer was a function of taking estrogen..

So...suddenly ...now Ovary-less...this is becoming a more urgent matter. I will talk to my Gyn...and my naturopath (who specializes in menopause) not my Gyn/onc...but I just wanted to get a sense of the options before me...

Any place I can go to get a quick sense of this?
