We are going to a concert by Trans Siberian Orchestra on December 4th (yay!!) We went last year, and it was EXCELLENT!! It's Christmas music in a rock-opera style.

Go here to listen to a clip: Trans Siberian Orchestra and scroll down to #5 the Silent Nutcracker

Going to a concert :)

Hi Twyla!!

This sounds fascinating! I love to hear live orchestras and ballets and anything LIVE!

I just got to see Journey (Anyone else a 70's/80's music freak?) at my local venue...and wewerethisclosetothestage!!!! The "new" Steve (Augeri replaced Perry) was incredible...could not tell the difference if you closed your eyes!

Hugs,
Kat

I want to GO!!

They never come down anywhere close to Alabama! I'd love to go! :-(

Maybe one day.. I'll just settle with my cd's and have my coffee.

Going to a concert :)

The concert was last nite... they were GREAT!!! They played non-stop for 2 hours. Did their entire Christmas Eve & Other Stories *rock opera* complete with narration.

They had a 10-piece (local) orchestra backing up the long-haired tux & tails-clad guys. And WOW can they play the guitar!! Several different vocalists took turns strutting their talents, and the light show was beautiful. This was in a small venue (8,000) so every seat was a good seat

They also did a few selections from their Beethoven's Last Night CD. You haven't heard Beethoven til you have heard *Flight of the Bumblebee* on an electric guitar w/ violin accompaniment.

If you get a chance to see this group, DO IT. The priciest seats in the house were $40, which is a bargain in this day of expensive entertainment.
