3 mo postop and still problems w/ ab sutures

hello everyone ...
Im 3 mothns post op had my TAh ( kept ovaries didnt keep cervix) on june 30th ... things are going pretty good .. Im healing well but I have this anoying issue,Im having alot of pain and swelling from my inturnal abdominal sutures .. the havent disolved ( my vaginal cuff stitches went away and Im all healed down stairs ) but the ones in my belly just wont absorb ( I know a gril who had to have a fallow up mini surgery in gyns office to remove the undisolved stitches) .. Im afraid I might need the same thing .. I can feel several lumps just above my scar one in particularly bad area is on the right end where my gyn tied off the suture he confirmed this when I asked about the ( then small tender bump ) at my 2 week and again at my 6 week ... well now the small only feelable lump is getting bigger its actually visible thru the skin & it hurts ! and is very sharp feeling , it has not came to a head like a pimple its not that close to the surface its not red just skin color ... Im am wondering what to do .. should I call my gyn and go in to have him look at this again ? how long does it usually take for abdominal sutures to disolve ? Im getting frustrated and my Gyn is pretty rude anytime I have questions so I try to aviod calling him if its not absolutly necessary .. but I think this time it might be ..I am aslo still having constant pain in my right ovary ( wich he keeps insisting is just ovulation ) but I have never had ovary pain like this ! even when my abdomin was filled with a tumor filled desiesed uterus even when I was bleeding 3 weeks out of the month and looked 4 months prego with tumors I never had ovary pain like this .. so maybe I should call him and go in again for both .. what do you guys think ?

Re: 3 mo postop and still problems w/ ab sutures

So sorry to hear that you are still having problems...I had my TAH in Feburary of this year and Im still having pain on my left side by my incision...Anytime, this area is touched or pushed on I double over...I went for another doctor visit this past Friday and once again she pushed around to find the exact area and she feels some hard spots, like I do around the left side of my incision so she is going to go back in and do a laproscopy as well as open the left side of my incision to see if whats going on...She's not sure what she may find but said it could be some scar tissue or endometerosis around that part of the incision (which is what caused me to have to get a hysterectomy in the first place)...I'm so scared and frustrated that I have to get another surgery...The only advice I can give you is keep on insisting on wanting to know why...I feel like this is our bodies and we know when something isnt right...

Good luck to you...please keep me posted...

I would call if I was in pain like you are. I am sorry you are in pain and also having to deal with a rude Dr. Whenever my ovaries hurt my used to be Dr. would just belittle the pain, that's one reason he used to be my Dr.

Re: 3 mo postop and still problems w/ ab sutures

Hi am 10 weeks post op ( tah/bso) and still having issues with pain in and around my right side and also I get a very sore belly on occasion. I am still off work as it causing lots of issues Inc lack of sleep. I am going back to see my surgeon on 15th oct. Worried he might want to have a look! I thought by now I would be up and running.
