sleeping?

Does anyone here sleep at night once you know your date? In a way I feel better knowing it but I don't think I can sleep on my own from here to surgery in November. Any suggestions? Amila

Re: sleeping?

Hi Amila
I can only suggest that you keep as busy as you can so that at the end of the day you are so tired that you just knock out. Thats what I have been doing and I dont even wake up in the middle of the night.

Re: sleeping?

I recommend walking if you are not already exercising. Walking will also be great activity during recovery. Then should help with the pre-surgery stress, and get your body ready for surgery. It is also activity that is recommended after surgery. Start focusing on 6 to 12 months after surgery when supposedly most everyone has fully healed. Plan a trip to celebrate? Or a special party?? Plans to do a new activity that you in your better health can better enjoy. Possibilities, hum....

Re: sleeping?

My surgery is Oct 4th. I have had some very sleepless nights. I am coping though by staying busy trying to tie up loose ends at work. I am also writing a journal to capture some of this anxiety. I am apprehensive about the surgery, yet excited about feel good again. Think about feel good again!
