Re: What is UP with this...

Wow, I really love the reality of all of this. I'am new to this sight and thought it would be a bit posh. I'am so glad to see reality. This stuff can be serious but is so much easier to handle when spoken about on the lighter side. Thanks for making me laugh. I'am 16 days post-op and not having much problems with gas, but now I understand some of the crazy antics from my aunts when they have this problem. I sure hope that I'll continue not to have this issue, maybe it's not hereditary. LOL

I am at that 7+ week marker, too. Still having the same problem as the rest of you. Guess what? I started laughing so hard reading these reponses, that my gas line uncontrollably exploded. LOL

Hi Ladies,
You really made me and again! I had bad problems with gas prior to my op I think cos I had a very large fibroid in my uterus..post op had bad gas pain but now it seems to have settled down considerably at 4 months post op.,
in the hospital they gave me peppermint water which you can buy o.t.c. at a chemist..this did help! There used to be a product called "Degas Extra'..I was mortified when I found out that it is no longer available in Australia..it always did the trick for me pre op..the weaker version available here 'De-gas' is like lolly water! Also doing exercise helps with digestion ie. try to do more walking!
