Night Sweats? Before Hysterectomy?

I'm having night sweats really bad lately! I'm 44 years old with a history of pituitary disease. My pituitary was pretty much eradicated in 2006 due to 2 surgeries and I don't have adrenal glands.

I'm scheduled for TVH, A&P repair, TOT monarc sling on Nov. 2nd.

I'd say over the past couple of months it started out with hot flashes at night and now has escalated to hot flashes during the day and full on night sweats! They are awful!!! My hair will be soaking wet my clothes wet and even in the inner bend of my elbows will be dripping wet.

I still have periods but not every month but that has been the case since my pituitary issues.

Sound like perimenopause or menopause? I don't understand all this stuff. Second question, what can the doc give me to help with the sweats? They are driving me NUTS!!!

Could your pituary problems be contributing to your symptoms? I would think that the adrenals can have an affect on hormone balance. Discuss your symptoms with your doctor to see if there is something that you can take before surgery.
