Re: Whatcha' slackin on today?

Well I been home for 5 days now and hubby took two weeks off. He is taken care of me. But omg dishes in the sink are stacking up. And forgot to tell my 10 year old to bath. Forgot to make his lunch for school and been doing Hm work late in the day. The two have been playing around and just doing things late. It's driving me crazy but im breathing and trying ao hard not to worry.

I'm watching paint dry - on my fingernails.

Maybe later I'll go out and watch the grass grow.

Oh ladies...

I fear I have been a dreadful failure today. No president um...what do president's wear? Well...no title for me.

2 weeks today post op and I really have no energy to speak of, but I couldn't take it any longer. There was a dead palmetto bug (glorified name for a Florida roach) in the corner and I squatted down and picked it up, then was trapped. I got the bucket of pinesol and clean the whole floor. But my failure didn't stop there. I dusted the furniture and even cleaned the toilets. I'd admit to a couple more things, but if my family ever should spy on me, I'd be in really big trouble.

Seriously, I did do too much, but I tried to be very careful. I squatted rather than bend if that helps any. But, I"m in the recliner now feeling like maybe I won't get up for anything for the next who knows how long. This seems like a tremendous amount of work just thinking about what I did and now typing it down.

in fact...I wish I had a catheter in so I didn't have to get up to walk to the bathroom right now..

You guys are killin me!

Drafter29, while you watch those shadows move, maybe you could watch the leaves turn to their fall glory, too? Nah, too much work.

I've been watching the DIY channel. I'm worn out from all their renovating. Gonna take a

That's it... Turn in your slacker badge. You will have to work really hard at slacking to get it back.

Re: Whatcha' slackin on today?

My first week at home, I had a small cooler packed by the bedside so I only had to reach over to get water, Jello, juice, fruit, etc.

I go back to work on Sunday, I'm 5 weeks post-op, so I'm only slacking on the "work" things, since I have a note that says I can't "work" until Sunday. Going to dig up some grass and plant some day lillies, then go for a bike ride, shower, then it's veg out time, a little internet, a crossword puzzle, a glass of Merlot, some cheesy Prime Time TV, etc.
