hyster at 22, hormones safe?

Hello ladies,
Its been 4 years after my hyster. I kept both ovaries but soon after surgery they failed. I then refused to go on hormones.
About a year after the surgery my ovaries enlarged. Causing pain due to cysts from the scar tissue. Now my doc put me on med dose enjuvia to "trick my ovaries into not working to cure my cyst problem" I'm on day six of meds and I feel WONDERFUL! I now can openly say I was in denial about menopause symptoms. My question is: did I hear my doctor wrong? Doesn't estrogen help your ovaries work? What are the risks of being on estrogen at 26 while still having my ovaries?

Honestly, I don't know. If the estrogen you're taking is telling your ovaries to cease and desist with their production then you're really more in a risk vs benefits situation. If you were experiencing menopause symptoms then you weren't getting enough estrogen and at your age that is a way bigger problem then too much.
