Re: Someone Please help!!!!!

Aside from HRT to help with my emotional breakdowns, the other thing that really helped me early postop, was finding a support system of a couple of people that I could just call at anytime and CRY. Not everyone can be safe or "gets it" to talk to, but find someone that will just let you call and just cry if you need to. I had my brother ( a male believe it or not ) but because he loved me, he just knew what to say and the basics, "Nadine this is just your hormones talking" Or I asked around for other women that have had hysterectomies that included ovaries removed too and asked them if I can call and speak to them if I needed. Most people are willing to help especially if they've been there and suffered themself.

Re: Someone Please help!!!!!

You are not alone! I felt that way after my operation and I thought I was going crazy. You need to talk to your doctor. Until I got my hormones under control (3 pumps of estrogel per day and the occasional blop of testosterone) I took ativan for the panic attacks and to help me sleep. I learned to take it one day at a time and some days I did NOTHING. It will get better but be patient with yourself.
