Post -op 10 days and feeling CRAZY

I am now 10 days post-op of a lap asst. vag. total hyst., I was able to keep my overies although they had endo. on them... My doc. pres. my pain pills after surg. 30 perc. and when those were gone in 4 days I called my doc for more and in order to get the same I had to go to the office, which is 1 hour away and I have no way to get there. so he called in some less powerful pain pills... they took the edge off, with the help of also taking tylon. Yesterday I started to have extreme pain and called my Doc. the nurse said that if I wanted the perc. pills I would have to come in to the office... it took them about 5 hours to get back to me and by then the pain was so bad that I threw up and let me tell you (owwwwweeee).. I called my doc in the moment and talked to the nurse and she said to go to the local er to be evaluated since I could of ripped a suture, so I went and they treated me like I just wanted pain pills...They gave me something IV and 15 min. later I was still in pain and he said he would have to talk to my doc that did the surg. before he could give me more pain med.. he talked to my nurse and she told him yes, so I finally was able to stop crying so much and had some release from the torment..My nurse said to give me some perc. pills, so the er doc wrote me a script for 20 of them... I was taking 2 every 6 hours... now I just pray that will work.... My Doc told me that I would be in more pain because of all the scar tissue and adhesions that he had to remove(previous gall bladder surg. gone bad) (my liver was attached to my stomach, my colen was attached all over the place and my uterus to my colen....) I feel like I can't even go to a doc. if I start to hurt now.... I am only taking 1 pill at a time, every 6 hours. and in a lot of pain... sorry for ratteling on... just needed to vent... thanks
Lots of love to all

Re: Post -op 10 days and feeling CRAZY

Thank you for the support... I do have a wonderful daughter(16yrs) and a great nephew(28yrs) who are helping me all they can.... I have come to the conclusion that if I hurt, then I hurt, and maybe if I rupture some sutures or have something major visible to these doctors that then they might believe me.... I've been cleaning house,,ext. almost everything on the don't do list..... see if I am faking it now...
Hope all your pain gos away and you heal perfectly!!!!
Again, thank you for your concern...

Re: Post -op 10 days and feeling CRAZY

I am so sorry for all your pain. Pain is real and for your DR not to address that in a realist manner is not right. I hope after your trip to the ER they understand your pain is real.

Hoping you find some comfort soon!! Hugs to you, Witchycierra!!

Re: Post -op 10 days and feeling CRAZY

one other thought - before you break yourself completely, perhaps you can see another doctor in your area - i absolutely recommend trying to find someone else. i have a group of doctors in my area that are gyno specialists and my doc was so understanding and sympathetic. I can't thank him enough for all he did for me considering the size and location of my tumor i could have been in a hot mess if he had not known his stuff and honestly the hospital staff made sure my pain meds were administered whether i felt i needed them or not just to keep me comfortable, maybe you can look someone new up and have them speak to you and perhaps transfer to them. Good Luck and God bless!!!

Hugs back to you !! Hope you feel better soon - all you should do is sit or lay in the most comfortable position -make sure you have everything, remotes, books and comfy pillows - do not move unless you have to and use your peeps to help you around - i know that pain well and only thing that helps is being very quiet and still. God Bless!!!
