Re: headaches post-op
I don't have answers as to why, but I too experienced a few headaches in the first week or so. I know I was drinking a lot less coffee and I wondered if was from lack of caffeine.

Re: headaches post-op
I am not one to have headaches but after my surgery I would have headaches all the time. Tylenol wasn't helping but once I started HRT my headaches stopped. I haven't had one in 5 weeks!

Re: headaches post-op
I struggled with migraine headaches for the first 2 and 1/2 weeks. Mine they said came from the epideral that I had gotten for the VH but I still ended up with TAH. I took medication for the migraines when I would get one and then after the 2 1/2 weeks, I just had moderate headache fairly often for the next few weeks. Now I havn't had problems with them for quite some time so maybe it just took time for my overies to kick in again.

Re: headaches post-op
OOO, me too. I had mine on the 25th and have had 2 migraines this week and a few "bad headaches". Hoping it is a hormone thing and will even out at some point. I have not taken any HRT as yet and if they keep up that will make me.
Hope you feel better soon,
Tracy in SC

Re: headaches post-op
I had migraines before surgery, & one after. Advil wouldn't touch them, but caffeine would. The Dr told me the migraines were hormone related, & since I had ovaries removed, my headaches should be gone.

Re: headaches post-op
I had a continuous 3 week headache that no medication could touch - not tylenol, advil, vicodin, percocet, caffiene, sleep, more water, ice packs, massage or accupuncture.
The difference came when I got my hormone levels managed. As I think about it, the headache could have been a side effect of adjusting to the hormones, as I still get a smaller one if I up the estrogen. Hang in there, work with your healthcare professionals to adjust your hormones. I hope you feel better soon
