Is anyone using Progessence Plus?

I'm 33 and 4 weeks post op TAH. I was so worried about hormones, going crazy, turning into a dried up prune and other horrible things! I am on the fence about taking estrogen. BUT my Grandma gave me a bottle of Progessence Plus from Young Living and I LOVE it! So far it has been my cure all!
You can Google it and find out all the particulars, but it has made my life easier. I have been using as needed, when I feel a hot flash or headache, I dab a little on and seriously within 15 min I feel so much better! If I get grouchy, my husband asks if I used my "snake oil" yet LOL. He even notices how much it helps me. OH, I was having insomnia too and it has helped with that, so pretty much any menopause symptom I have has been helped by this. At this point I am going to stick with this, and very pleased.
Has anyone else tried it? If anyone has more information on it I'd love to read it.
Best wishes to all

Re: Is anyone using Progessence Plus?

I don't have any experience with using Progessence Plus but I do use compounded progesterone cream as a part of my hormone therapy. It's known as the calming hormone and I find that it does help me sleep better.

You're early in recovery so your body may still be depleting the hormones your ovaries made. You may find over time that progesterone therapy alone isn't going to be effective for menopause symptoms, at which point you may want to consider adding estrogen. Definitely discuss your options with your doctor.

I hope you continue to do well!

Re: Is anyone using Progessence Plus?

I am glad you posted this. I am waiting to get mine in this month's order. I am 1 year out from hyster and kept my ovaries. I have noticed lately that I just can't clear the fog and cannot lose a pound no matter how much I work out or try to count calories. I have lower libido and joints aches, too. I am going to my doctor to have my levels checked before I start the Progessence but have heard really good things about it and want to try it before any other kind of HRT. Oh, and I am 32 years old so pretty close to your age.

I would love to know if you continue to do well on this as well.

Re: Is anyone using Progessence Plus?

I was on Progesterone only therapy for 4 months, after my hyst. It did get rid of most of the hot flashes and insomnia. But, I had a ton of other low estrogen symptoms...brain fog, joint aches, foot pain, weight gain, hair loss, loss of libido, and the list goes on and on! I hope you do well on this, but, chances are you will need some estrogen along the way.

Re: Is anyone using Progessence Plus?

Thanks for the advice. I realize that progesterone only might not be the cure-all, but I think its best to start slow as I realize my symptoms are probably minor compared to what a lot of ladies are going through. Part of the reason I am going to my doctor this week is to make sure I am not significantly off on estrogen or anything else per se before I start trying to self-manage my symptoms. I will keep y'all posted on my progress or lack thereof as it may be. Have a great day!

Re: Is anyone using Progessence Plus?

I am still doing quite well using the oil. It has been 8 weeks for me now. I think, with the blends of essential oils and wild yam, it works pretty well. In fact, one thing in particular, is my libido is better than ever the past few weeks. I was so depressed before my hysterectomy, just because I had little to none! So I knew my hormones were all off. OH, I am starting to get more energy too. I haven't counted out estrogen, but if I need to, I will use it
