feelings- me or my hormones? when is lack of hormones noticable? Am I crazy?

I had a total hysterectomy on November 12, so 6 days ago. I started progesterone right away the next day (no estrogen for 6 more months.) I'm also still taking my pain meds.

I feel kinda crazy! One minute I'm fine, the next I am crying. And crying about EVERYTHING! Sometimes I cry because of the surgury, sometimes I cry because I feel alone- both ligit reasons. But sometimes I cry because something on tv is sad or because IDK why- I just feel sad.

Also, I don't know if it's from the pain meds or hormones, but I am either hot or freezing. There is no in between.

I've struggled with some mental health issues in the past. I just need to know if what I have going on is normal for someone who is so freshly post-op or if there is something greater going on here.

I know you all are not doctors, but I've never been through this before so I don't really know what to expect, or have a personal experience to compare it to!

Thanks for any input!

I am only 2 days post op so I am new to this too. I just wanted to give you a great big HUG!! From talking to other co workers that have had a hysterectomy I think what you are experiencing is normal, but I will leave it up to the ladies on here to tell you their experiences. Hugs to you from me!
