Why am I only taking Estrogen?

I have read through this forum and am suprised at everything that people are taking. I am 3 weeks post - op and am only taking estrogen.

Is that normal? I do have a lot of anxiety issues, and am not sure what all else I am dealing with. I have fibromyalgia so I am taking Cymbalta and have a narcotic for the bad days.

I am not sure what the regular treatment is for post hysto/no ovaries. Should I be on something more? How do I know if I need the others?

I also started taking a on a day vitamin, plus another calcium 1000 mg, and also Vitamin D.

I have another post op on the 20th to see if I need to see a urogyno for cystitis, so I want to be sure I take the right questions.

Re: Why am I only taking Estrogen?

I have been on only estrogen since my hysterectomy when I was 30, which was 22yrs ago. I tried progesterone earlier this year and just couldn't tolerate it. It made me so sleepy with a hangover feeling the next day. I have never needed testosterone since my levels are fine.
Not everyone needs the extra hormones and if you are doing fine on just estrogen then that is good.
