Pain after Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

Hi ladies! I am so impressed by how amazingly well everyone seems to be recovering from their procedures! I had a SILS hysterectomy done on the 7th with one ovary removed. I know that the laparoscopic/SILS procedures are supposed to have less pain with recovery but I feel that I am way behind on the pain recovery compared to many of the women on this site. I am still taking 4 pain pills a day! I have stopped taking them during the night as I am on sleeping meds that help me sleep through the pain but I find that I need them during the day.

I see that many people are fine with Tylenol and motrin but those don't seem to touch my pain. Is anyone else feeling this way? I am starting to feel that something may be wrong with me!

Cali -

I am sorry you are still experiencing a good amount of pain. If you are concerned about the number of pain pills you still need and you are feeling as if something is wrong than give your Dr. a call.

You have to listen to your body and sometimes if the intuition is saying something is wrong it is.
