Dry Skin and muscle aches

I am about 4months post op TAH/BSO. For the last few weeks I have been having muscle aches and extremely dry skin. I am not taking any type of HRT. I am going to check with my doctor tomorrow about HRT but just checking in to see if anyone else has had this. I have always had pretty normal skin and now am putting on BIO Oil and this is absorbed quickly. Before surgery I was in menopause but really no problems as far as skin, muscle etc..My doctor gave me the option of taking anything and since I was feeling ok chose not to. So now I'm not so sure what to do??

Get your hormones checked and tell dr you want to try hormones. You sound low in Estogen maybe even progesterone.
My skin gets really dry when estrogen dips. I just changed patches so I hope I absorb it better. also take compounded progesterone.
