When will the burning stop?!
Hello All!
I'm New to HysterSister & I'm in need of some serious support & feed back! I'm age 40, had my hys 3 months ago (kept my ovaries). After battling a yeast infection & SEVER vaginal dryness & vaginal burning, my doctor finally did a hormone test & my gestrogene levels are extremely low. She had me try estrace (only used it 3 days b/c @ the time it hurt to put anything down there) & vagifem which I used for 12 days & she says my vagina looks better, not much vaginal dryness & the burning is not as sever, but it still burns!
Now, she has me trying Premarin ( Started yesterday). I guess I said all of this to ask... Will the burning ever stop?????? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: When will the burning stop?!
HI,
I'm certainly no doctor but do think that the Premarin will start working quickly and yoiu will get some relief.
I got off Premarin several years ago and just got over redness and burning. The gyn put me on the Estrace cream for a while and that has taken care of the burning. Now, I'm going to be on Vagifem.
This is just my opinion. Oh, and I learned very quickly NOT to use Monostat because it has alchohol in it and it really does burn.
Good luck. I hope you feel better soon.

When will the burning stop?!
Hello!
I have another question. I've experienced some bleeding after sex (only attempted twice a/b 2 wks apart) My hys was 3 months ago & I haven't had any bleeding since my procedure. But the past 3 weeks I've notice a light- dark pink discharge & I also found-out 3 weeks ago I have very low hormone levels...which has caused me to burn like alcohol on an open wound!!! Not to mention the vaginal dryness!
My doc had me try estrace & vagifem and now she has me using premarin. Not helping yet & it's been 3 weeks!...I Just started Premain 2 nights ago.
Thanks for your input and
Happy New Year Ladies!
