Re: 3 yrs of pain & many surgeries but nothings better

The cysts on my ovaries used to cause me horrible pain. All I wanted to do was lay in bed with a heating pad and heavy duty pain meds.

Since my surgery I have been pain free.

Good luck

Re: Adhesion pain?

I have been concerned about adhesion/scar tissue pain recently as well. However, I have had my ovaries out. I will tell you that I used to get horrible pain with ovarian cysts just like Bev. My heating pad was my constant companion. Now I'm wondering about adhesions

Hopefully you will get some answers soon.

Re: Adhesion pain?

Carrie, as the above ladies said your pain could be caused by the cyst or from adhesions. Cysts can be as worriesome as adhesions! Are they monitoring to see if the cyst is growing or getting smaller? If they have to go in to remove the cyst (which we will hope they don't! ) then I would talk about your dr going ahead and "looking" around to see if you have any adhesions. Best of luck to you!! I hope that you are able to find an end to your pain soon.
