Shoes

I am new a this. I heard you must wear flats. I have always worn heels to work but I was told to purchase flats. I did purchase granny panties but I have not received them yet. Its my 4 week and I still dont feel great. I cant believe I will return to work in 6 weeks. After reading the posts it sounds like I should take more time off. I see my DOC on Tuesday, I will see what he says.

Re: Shoes

If you don't need the granny panties return them. As to shoes, you wear what is comfortable for you. I am wearing both heels and flats, but then again, I am not on my feet all day.

Re: Shoes

Hello there!

I haven't heard that flats should be worn but it makes perfect sense to me from a balance standpoint. In recovery we are still a bit shaky especially when on pain meds so wearing heels could be risky.

It is a great question to ask your doc.

Best wishes to you in your continued recovery!

Re: Shoes

I don't know when you are speaking about wearing heels. But I have been wearing them since I started going out of the house now & then. I wore some 4" heels today to church. I don't do it all the time because I usually wear casual clothes to work. But when I go to party or movies or like church today...I do wear a heel.

I think you have to listen to your body. And I stayed out 8 weeks to the chagrin of my employer but it was needed. I wish I could have stayed out longer.

I'm a big girl...but I refused and still do refuse to wear granny panties LOL!! I fit into my normal boy shorts and hipsters. I wouldnt wear them if they aren't needed.

Re: Shoes

I have a sit down job, so I have worn heels and flats. I too had not heard about wearing heels. I am in MN so on icy days I wore flats just for the walking and falling factor. Otherwise I wear my heels! On the granny panties, I never needed them, but I too would return them if you do not need them. I found my bikini underwear were just fine, in fact wore them home from the hospital. They ride below the belly button. I had some higher waist ones that hit on the belly button, and those did irritate.

Re: Shoes

I found that my Sketcher Shape up's made my back hurt after surgery.
