8 weeks post op - still takin pain meds

I also had staging done so I had a long vertical scar go just above my belly button. Get te odd pain at the top and I take ibuprofen once or twice a day to ease the pain. Anyone else experience this?

Re: 8 weeks post op - still takin pain meds

I am 7 weeks TAH and just lately have had pains around my belly button which I have never had before. I did not have staging done so I don't know what you are experiencing.....better call the doc just to make sure you are okay.

Re: 8 weeks post op - still takin pain meds

I do not have a vertical incision like you did, but I don't think its abnormal to take that amount of pain meds. I'm not taking anything every single day right now, it depends on what I do. If I do a lot, I need pain meds, if I don't, I'm good. Your incision is different to heal and like I said, I'm not really surprised. However if you are worried, or experiencing a lot of pain, I'd call your doctor.

Good luck
