Home from hospital very happy to be home!

I was doing so well and we have a big blizzard coming and i did not want to get stuck in the hospital. My doc and I agreed would be better off at home. I really could not sleep well at all. I got very itchy from the aesthesia and they would not give me my ambien. They gave me beadryll and it did seem to work at all. I was much more comfortable when they took the catheter out. And I am so relived to be home. They gave me oxycodone-acetaminophen. I am very sore which I expected and only took extra strength Tylenol.I feel if I did not join HysterSisters there is no way I would have been well prepared. I really knew or know what is normal. I just had surgery yesterday @7am and it is hard to just walk but I did expect that. So happy to be on the road to recovery.

Re: Home from hospital very happy to be home!

Wow, you are home after one day. Please remember to take your meds as scheduled, don't let the time run over.

I'm one week out of surgery and came home (to my parents) on the second day. I set my clock on my phone to wake me up during the night to take the oain meds.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Re: Home from hospital very happy to be home!

Hope you are resting well and able to sleep. Sleep is so important the first couple of weeks.....I took so many naps!
I'm impressed you were able to come home the day after surgery. Take care!

Re: Home from hospital very happy to be home!

I'm amazed you are home after one day! Please be very careful and don't push yourself. I was in for four days, three nights.

I am glad you are home however, it always feels better to be home. Keep up on your pain meds, the first few days you really need to make sure you get them and on time as justlooking mentioned. It's important pretty much the first week but mostly the first few days while your body figures out what happened!

Good luck, and heal well!
