Another Monday morning Monday, January 17th

Good Morning all Besters!!

Well, yesterday was not a real great eating day for me, but fortunately a step on the scales doesn't show too much damage done.

Today is Curves, my walk (someplace) and a couple of errands. Food is all planned and I'm off to the grocery after Curves to make sure. I even have a few extra meals planned.

Have a BEST OP day everyone!

Re: Another Monday morning Monday, January 17th

Good Morning everyone,

It feels like spring here . As soon as DH and I drag this tree out of the lving room I will be able to open the bid sliding glass window and get some air downstairs.

I was going to go walking, but woke up too late (I have got to stop this). But I will be getting lots of exercise cleaning my 2nd sewing room/storage room. Getting all my Christmas boxes put away and room straightened up so I can begin work on my Dads room, clearing it out.

Food is not planned but will OP.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Re: Another Monday morning Monday, January 17th

Been running around today, but actually ate pretty well and came in UNDER my suggested goal for the first time all week. This morning the scale still read 166 so that's what I reported to the leader. Tomorrow morning we meet again, online, at 6:30 so I'm off to bed.

See you all in the morning

Re: Another Monday morning Monday, January 17th

Hello Ladies
Thought I would share a recipe.

Made my favorite Quinoa Salad the other day. Didn't get this from any website- just copied from a salad I bought from a deli.

I call it GF Vegan Quinoa Pea/parsley salad
1 cup of quinoa rinsed and cooked with 2 cups of water
1 cup of frozen peas
½ cup of chopped fresh parsley
½ cup chopped or slivered almonds
3 chopped scallions (use the whole scallion
¾ cup raisins
Orange zest
1 TBS of minced garlic
½ tsp of cinnamon
Combine the above ingredients
Dressing
¼ up of rice vinegar
½ cup of olive oil-I've cut this in half and its still fine
¼ tsp sea salt
1 Tbs agave syrup
Combine and add to the salad.
Different but healthy and yummy.
Enjoy

Val ... salad sounds interesting, but would have to not add peas (yuck), but I know I can improvise :-).
