Testosterone cream?

One sister told me about the T cream since Im not taking HRT cause of my thyroid, I have hypothiroid too and hypertension, Dr told me cant give me HRT but Im concern about my sex life if its going to be good without any hormones after TAH...... With my conditions is better to ask Dr if i can use T cream or i can just get it.??????? I have only 13th days since my TAH thats why Im asking??????

You're early in recovery but it's natural to be concerned about post-hysterectomy sex.

Testosterone is something you'll need a prescription to get so you'll have to ask your doctor if it's right for you. If you get further into recovery and have libido issues, your doctor can check your free and total testosterone levels to determine if your levels are low. If so, and if you're a candidate to use that hormone, your doctor can write a prescription. I use 1% compounded testosterone myself which I purchase at a local compounding pharmacy.

You might find you don't need it at all--not everyone does--but it's nice to know it's an option if you do find yourself in need of testosterone.
