My da Vinci supravervical hysterectomy
All in all a fairly straitforward op. Chose hysterectomy instead of myomectomy because I didn't want the possibilty of having to be operated on again if the bleeding didn't stop after a myomectomy. Had practically a year long period with severe anaemia. Not a useful condition for raising my only child with. My gynae offered robotic laparascopic supracervical hysterectomy as she specialises in minimally invasive surgery. Kept ovaries and cervix. Now 4th day post op. Not much pain at incisions (4 of them) but some shoulder pain from the operating position. Not taking pain meds anymore . Gas pains were awful 1st day post op but Ginger root or Ginger powder in everything helps get rid of gas and
walking too. It helped having kind compassionate gynae.
