Unhappy - Still cycling after 1 yr post TAH w/BSO Still cycling after 1 yr post TAH w/BSO

I had a TAH w/BSO about one year and a half ago for endometriosis. I am having problems with cyclic abdominal pain and nausea. Could it be possible that I still have some estrogen in my body and it is going up and down like a roller coaster? When are all of these symptoms of anxiety, depression, hot flashes (but only when I am stressed out or drinking something hot and mostly at night)going to end? I have tried vitamin and plant supplements, patches and that new drug amberen, but I still keep having nausea and stomach upset. I have gone to the GI doctor, but they can't find anything. I just have IBS. Has anybody had any symptoms like this (nausea and stomach upset)?

I'm wondering if you may still have some endo remaining? Or maye an ovarian remnant? Or maybe something else is going on. Keep talking with your doctor(s).

Still cycling after 1 yr post TAH w/BSO

I am approaching four months after my RALH with BSO. I recently lowered the amount of estrogen patch Im on. I keep getting stomach upset, nausea and acid reflux since the reduction. It's really annoying to say the least.

Re: Still cycling after 1 yr post TAH w/BSO

Just wondering here I have PCOS and IBS. I know that a hyst will not help my PCOS other that stop the bleeds as the hormones are from the piturity glad so I will still get unwanted hair hard to loose weight easy to gain. Problem with insulin resistance. And I will still have IBS. Did your gyne say as to wether a Hyst would stop your endo? Although a Hyst may help you may still experience certain things of Endo but then again is the pain not actually IBS instead. I have the constipation form so lots of bloating and pain prior to surgery and it's hard to tell recovery bloat to IBS bloat. Hope you get some advice soon
