Vaginal dryness issues
I'm 2 months post-op. I hoped that once I got past the extreme anxiety of resuming intimacy after TVH, the dryness would ease a little. It has not at ALL. Before, my body's response in foreplay was a huge part of DH's enjoyment. At first, he thought the total absence of lubrication was a lack of desire or enjoyment on my part, and resented the artificial interruption of Astroglide. I actually had to draw him a diagram and show him how the TVH eliminated some of my body's physical or natural ability to produce lubrication. Now he's okay with using a lubricant, but if we want more than 5 minutes of intimacy, it has to be reapplied repeatedly. If I use enough initially to make it through the act, it creates a huge mess. I'm startled at the contrast of how extreme the dryness is, and indeed is even causing me day-to-day discomfort, sensations of pinching and pulling vaginally. I'm very discouraged; our intimacy was/is a very strong and enjoyable part of a wonderful marriage. Our frequency is back to normal, and he's happy except for what this is doing to me. I feel inadequate and "broken." I'm not depressed, just freaking out a little.
