I cant take it anymore

Hello, I had a total done when i was 24. I will 33 in April so almost 10 yrs ago. My doctor and mother told me to take HRT, so the first couple months after I did take it. But i stopped, I felt fine, did not feel any diffrent.

But the last year, and especially the past couple months have been horrible. I dont get it.. why after almost 10 yrs.. i just cant take it.. I hurt all over, my skin is sooooo dry. the night sweats and hot flashes are kicking my butt..

I really want to know when this will be over.. or will it ever be over.

Realisticly looking back over the past 10 yrs, i have had issues. But i tried to blame it on something else. I have seen a chiropractor religiously and when i go to other doctors about the pains i have, they canot find anything. Im tired of feeling it is all in my head. So i started doing more research and i believe i am out of my denial state and i am in menopause.. IT SUCKS!!!!!!

I can barely move when i get in the morning, i feel like i have the bosy of a 90 yr old.

No one really seems to understand. I am tired of feeling this way. I have decided to make an appt with the <facility name removed per website TOS> clinic, they do a full bllod workup to see where your levels are and then work on a natural remedy that fits you. Has anyone else tried this.. I tried creme, and vitamins, but nothing is working and i am ready to give up.

I was on estrodial and felt no diffrent. Been told no premum due to breast cancer in my family. I am sooo lost.

try something different that what you were on before. Ask for bioidentical estrogen . climara, vivelle dot, estrogel, estrace pills,
Maybe this would help you feel different. I felt terrible on bcp's and premarin and I feel just about normal on climara patch. sounds like you need full hormone testing: estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, and maybe adrenals. I felt like you did and some days still do until I got on an estrogen patch. keep me posted. you are really young to go without hormones, especially estrogen. bone loss and heart disease are more accelerated without hormones being replaced esp. at your age. I hope you can find some hrt that makes you feel good.
when you said remedy-- do they mean like homeopathic or real hormones?

Re: I cant take it anymore

Hi

I'm not familiar with <facility name removed per website TOS>, but from what I could find on google, it sounds like they use compouned bio-identical hormones.

I would think that you will start feeling much much better when you start replacing the hormones that you are missing. Keep in mind though, that no one type of HRT is right for everyone. So, just because one type doesn't work, doesn't mean that there isn't something out there that will work. I have tried several different types, before settling in to compounded troches (dissolve in my mouth).

Also, don't make a judgment about how well a hormone is working, until you have allowed 6 weeks for your body to adjust to that dose, and allowed the hormone time to build up in your system.

I hope you feel better soon. Let us know what you decide.
