Re: dizziness??

Yep! Yep! Yep!
I had my TAH 1-29-11 and still find my self with dizzy-flashes.
I was doing some yardwork just this morning and had to stop and hold on to the green waste can every time I got up. I don't believe that anything is wrong with me, I believe it is part of the physical and chemical changes I am going through to get back to normal life.
Thank you for your post!! PLEASE call or email your doctor if things get worse... better safe than sorry!!

Re: dizziness??

Mine was from anemia, dehydration, low blood sugar, and blood pressure issues! It was extensive enough in my case to drag out my recovery as I did black out several times--both in the hospital and at home and send me to a neurologist. Bleah!

If you happen to have a sinus infection or ear infection, that can do it, too, as well as hormonal imbalance issues.

I would suggest getting in touch with your doctor to find out what is causing yours and how you should treat it.

In the meant time, try to drink plenty of water and make sure you are eating. Besides holding on to something when you stand, also try to rise slowly and give yourself a few seconds after standing before you try to walk.

in there and be careful! Let us know what your says!

Re: dizziness??

I had my TAH on 2-24-11 and I have been having bad dizzy spells also. It seems like every time I get up I get dizzy, and have to hold on to something for a few minutes. I have even come close to fainting a few times.
I hope everything gets for everyone!

Re: dizziness??

Well, I finally broke down and called the doctor. He wants me to take a Lortab to hopefully help the headache, and thus hopefully bring BP down, get good night's rest and push fluids. If I am not better tomorrow he wants me to call the hospital and speak to the doc on call for further instruction. I am really hoping the Lortab does the trick.
